One of the great thing about working for myself from home is that I can play music when I want without having to worry about others. If I want to play Geto Boys 'Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangster' it gets played.
Depending on what I'm working on, I find that the first couple of hours of the day (when I'm most productive) I don't need any music. But once mid morning comes and I've got a handle on the work for the day I start some music on my desktop.
Depending on my mood I'll jump between brit pop on Spotify, all kinds of rock/metal on my favourite German online radio station Radio BOB (I love it [not for everyone I'll admit] and it has got about 20 different stations to jump between) and then head to Radio.net to get some random stations like PopTron or Old School Hip Hop.
I've also started my own radio station Radiotassie.com as a side project so check that out when you're bored of all the rubbish local radio stations. It's got three different stations to choose from and you'll find Guns N Roses, AC/DC, The Angels along side the Beatles, RHCP, Stone Roses, Beastie Boys, Traveling Wilburys, Paul Simon, plus 60's, one hit wonders and heaps of other random songs from my collection.
For all you Oasis fans out there, I came across a super doco on Liam Gallagher. Fantastic behind the scenes footage as it follows him in the studio, on tour and at home. He is a walking quote (He hasn't spoken to Noel in 10 years!).
